The Rooibos commonly called South African red tea or simply red tea, it has been popular in South Africa for generation and is now consumed in many countries. It is grown only in a small area in the Cederberg region of the Western Cape province. In South africa, people drink Rooibos with milk & sugar. The flavor of the red tea is described as sweet and slightly nutty.

The Rooibas is becoming more popular in western countries. Due to its hight level of antioxidants, its lack of caffeine and its low tannin levels compared to fully oxidized black tea or unoxidized green tea leaves.
